The "Access to Trauma Centers in the United States" fact sheet and an interactive mapping tool are now available on CDC's web site. The new mapping tool, created in partnership with the American Trauma Society and the University of Pennsylvania, shows the location of all hospitals and trauma centers (Levels I-IV) across the country.
Site visitors can click on the map at www.cdc.gov/traumacare and find the distance to and locations of trauma centers and hospitals.
The release of the fact sheet and mapping tool is an important step to help raise awareness and improve access to trauma centers around the country.
