Melissa Trumbull oversees NAEMT’s programs and initiatives, including its national awards program and grassroots advocacy program, and supports the Affiliate Advisory Council and NAEMT’s Lighthouse Leadership Program. She previously worked at Association and Society Management International, Inc., providing association management services to Advocates for EMS, the Citizens CPR Foundation, the Cyanide Poisoning Treatment Coalition, the International Association of Emergency Managers, the National Association of State EMS Officials, and the National Association of Government Communicators. In 2004, she served the Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs, where she assisted with the development of the accreditation program and supported accreditation candidates through the process. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit association management and development, Melissa has expertise in supporting the healthcare, military, and first responder industries through government and stakeholder relations, volunteer management, grassroots advocacy, program and project management, event planning and management, webinar production, and podcast management. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The State University of New York College at Brockport. She is working towards a graduate certificate in nonprofit management and leadership within the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland. Melissa has also served on many local nonprofit and school boards in leadership roles. She continues to donate her time and expertise to nonprofits serving her local community.
