Supporting Our Military

For EMS practitioners serving in the military, deployment can add more responsibilities to their already busy schedules. Multiple tasks must be completed before deployment, during their tour, and when they come home. To help with deployment, NAEMT offers Tips for EMS Practitioners Deploying for Combat.

EMS leaders with employees in the military should support their deploying employees. Deployments may last a year or more and may require adjustments to staffing or shift schedules.
