NAEMT members Rosemary Adam, RN, EMT-P, and Chris Cebollero, CCEMT-P, have authored a new textbook, "Transport of the Critical Care Patient." Cebollero chairs NAEMT's Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) Committee, and Adam serves as a member of the Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) Committee.
"Transport of the Critical Care Patient" offers an easy-to-read, conversational approach, ideal for use in an initial education program for the critical care paramedic or as a reference text for prospective flight paramedics preparing for the flight paramedic certification exam.
It includes case studies, real-life examples, and best practices to make the content more relevant and easier to apply on the job, as well as step-by-step instructions for essential critical care procedures. The book is based on the University of Iowa Hospital's EMS Learning Resources Center (EMSLRC) Critical Care Paramedic curriculum, an internationally renowned critical care paramedic course.
