We wish to share the following information from The National EMS Memorial Service:
The National EMS Memorial Service has released the names of the 20 individuals from 13 states to be honored at the 2012 National EMS Memorial Service to be held Saturday, June 23, in Colorado Springs. View the honorees
here. Our prayers go out to all honorees, crew members, families, and friends.
Since 1992, the National EMS Memorial Service has honored America's EMS practitioners who have given their lives in the line of duty. The 20 individuals being honored this year join 581 others previously honored. In addition to the presentations made during the Service, each honoree's name is engraved on a bronze oak leaf which is added to the "Tree of Life," the National EMS Memorial.
This year, the Service has announced plans for the Fifteenth Annual National Moment of Silence, to be observed at 1930 hrs (MDT) on Saturday, June 23, 2012. This offers EMS practitioners and agencies across the nation the opportunity to join with those in attendance at the Service in honoring and remembering our fallen.
NAEMT provides annual sponsorship to the National EMS Memorial Service.
