NAEMT President Connie Meyer, on behalf of NAEMT members, has written a letter to Dr. Catherine Torres, Director of the New Mexico Department of Health, regarding the recent decision to de-fund the EMS Regional Office in New Mexico. NAEMT asks Dr. Torres to consider restoring this funding in support of the people of New Mexico and the EMS practitioners who care for them on a daily basis. Read the letter here. 

The lack of state and federal funding for EMS was identified in a recent survey of NAEMT members as one of the key challenges facing EMS as practitioners attempt to provide patient care in their communities.
