Assist Local EMS Agencies, Victims with Hurricane Sandy Recovery

Nov 05, 2012

As tens of thousands in New York, New Jersey and other areas scramble to find housing, our hearts go out to those who lost so much during the recent hurricane, including many of our first responder and EMS practitioner community. Currently, the death toll stands at 110, and thousands are suffering.

If you wish to donate and make an immediate impact in helping the hurricane's victims, you may do so at the American Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org/. The Red Cross is also urging blood and platelet donations to assist survivors.

A group of EMS practitioners on Facebook is collecting donations for the IMMEDIATE needs of New Jersey EMS and fire volunteers who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Learn more here: http://www.facebook.com/SandyEMSandFIRESupplies
