On September 11, 2001, following the terrorist attacks on our country, then President George W. Bush addressed the nation stating, “Today, our nation saw evil, the very worst of human nature, and we responded with the best of America, with the
daring of our rescue workers…”
Thirteen
years later, the images of that day are branded in our hearts. We
remember the victims of this national tragedy, honor those first responders who
sacrificed their lives to save others, and extend our thoughts and prayers to
the family and friends of those who lost loved ones.
We are also reminded of the best in America –
particularly the unwavering commitment of emergency medical responders and the
inherent risks they take daily to provide healthcare for those in need, every day.
We are grateful for the preparedness and response of
our nation’s EMS practitioners and all first responders!
