Announcing the New NAEMT Online Grassroots Advocacy Service!
In 2011, NAEMT launched its first online legislative service to foster grassroots involvement in advocacy and educate all EMS professionals about federal legislation that impacted our profession and our patients. The service changed over time from Capwiz to ENGAGE due to a product acquisition.
We heard your concerns about the ENGAGE system. Several members commented that the system limited your ability to find your legislators, easily engage in advocacy campaigns, and conduct your own advocacy efforts with your members of Congress. In response, NAEMT established a work group of the most active users to review the current service and other services in the industry.
After a thorough review and demonstrations of three services by the working group, NAEMT chose a new online legislative service, SoftEdge. The online service integrates into the NAEMT website, provides robust capability, and is user friendly. This new service will assist members to actively engage their members of Congress.
NAEMT will continue to host the Online Legislative Service for all EMS professionals. Invite your colleagues to view the site and to become an advocate for EMS.
