On May 16, Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) introduced S. 2932. This is the companion bill to H.R. 4365 to amend the Controlled Substances Act to ensure that EMS practitioners can continue to administer controlled substances under standing orders (protocols).

NAEMT will continue to work with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) on passage of these bills in both the House and the Senate.
