On May 2, NAEMT joined six national organizations in a letter urging federal oversight agencies to direct attention to the shortage of Essential Emergency Medications (EEM). Sent to leaders in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the letter stressed that the current shortage of EEM threatens lives in our nation’s communities and leaves the United States unprepared to respond to disasters.
