NAEMT was deeply disturbed by the tragic death of Breonna Taylor. As a valuable member of the EMS workforce, we sincerely mourn her loss.
In light of the current situation across the nation, we want to express our deepest compassion for the pain and frustration being felt by so many. NAEMT is committed to building an EMS workforce that reflects the local communities which we serve. We strongly believe that diversity strengthens our communities, our nation and the world.
As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated, “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.”
In the spirit of unity, let us all work to uplift each other, respect each other, and be kind to one another. Our actions as an organization will continue to affirm our belief that everyone should be treated equally and with dignity, regardless of our differences.
