Mentee Qualifications
- Current NAEMT member
- EMT certification or higher
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EMS
- Current engagement, as an employee or active volunteer in the EMS field
- Commitment to the Lighthouse Leadership Program
Mentee Responsibilities
- Attends the Lighthouse Leadership orientation program
- Commits to meeting with their mentor on a regular basis
- Is prepared and ready to work in each mentor session
- Commits to the development of a professional relationship with their mentor based on mutual trust and respect
- Attends monthly Leadership Forum sessions
- Completes and presents a Leadership Project
Mentee Program Timeline
- May 2025 – Mentee Orientation (virtual)
- June 2025 – Leadership Vision Statement Development, Regular Mentoring Begins
- July 2025 – Goals Development, Monthly Leadership Forum Sessions Begin
- August-September 2025 – Leadership Topic Development
- January 2026 – Leadership Topic Proposal Presentations
- July 2026 – Leadership Project Presentations to Mentors and Committee
- October 2026 – Graduation
