NAEMT respects the privacy of our members and other visitors to our website. To protect online privacy, NAEMT has implemented the following policy which may be amended at any time. 

What Information Does NAEMT Collect?
NAEMT collects data to better serve our members, faculty and the broader EMS profession we support. We may collect personally identifiable information, such as name, phone number, and email address when you register for a course or sign-up via a form. If you choose to become a member or engage in another financial transaction, our third-party payment processors will collect payment information. It is our policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and others knowingly provide. 

How Does NAEMT Use Your Information? 
(a) Personally Identifiable Information from Members and Others. There are areas on the NAEMT website where we ask for and collect information, including personally identifiable information. Where we do, it is to serve you better or is necessary to accomplish the service you are requesting. Examples include membership information (which may include name, address, email, telephone number, and educational and professional experience), event registrations, security identifiers, shipping information, and product purchase information stored in online shopping carts. Membership and other collected information are securely stored in the NAEMT database, which may be used to generate mailing lists for programs, products, and services. 

(b) Non-Personally Identifiable Information from General Users. NAEMT does not collect personal information from users browsing our website. NAEMT collects aggregate data and uses this information for purposes of statistical analysis of website traffic. 

How Is Data Stored and Processed?
Information collected through NAEMT may be stored and processed in the United States, Europe, or any other country in which NAEMT or its subsidiaries, affiliates, or service providers maintain facilities. If you are in the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please note that we will transfer information, including personal information, to a country and jurisdiction that may not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction. In the U.S., NAEMT abides in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act. You may choose to unsubscribe from communications at any time and request to be removed from future lists used to distribute informational and promotional content by notifying us at info@naemt.org or 601-924-7744. 

How Do We Protect Your Information? 
NAEMT has taken steps to maximize the security of financial transactions that are accepted on the NAEMT website. Credit card processing is conducted using secure processing services and recognized service providers. Credit card information is encrypted when transmitted in secure mode. 

REGARDLESS OF THE PRECAUTIONS TAKEN BY YOU OR NAEMT, "PERFECT SECURITY" DOES NOT EXIST ONLINE. NAEMT CANNOT ENSURE OR WARRANT THE SECURITY OF ANY INFORMATION TRANSMITTED TO THIS SITE OR NAEMT, AND YOU TRANSMIT SUCH INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK. 

How Does NAEMT Use Cookies? 
NAEMT uses cookies only to facilitate automated activity, store and track passwords, determine appropriate solicitations, and review navigation patterns. Cookies are not used to disseminate information about users over the Internet or to analyze any information that users have knowingly or unknowingly provided. 

General NAEMT Web Server Security 
NAEMT web servers are registered as secure servers using industry-standard certificate techniques. This enables all communication between our servers to be verified when services are requested between computers. All the personal information collected on our site, including names and addresses, is stored behind a "firewall," and defenses have been erected to seek to enhance the protection of your information from outside attacks. 

What Privacy Issues Arise with Links to Other Sites? 
This website contains links to other websites, including third party organizations that provide NAEMT member benefit programs. NAEMT is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of such sites, and you should read their terms and privacy policies before using them. 

GDPR Compliance 
For European Union (EU) customers, NAEMT complies with the EU Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC framework as set forth by the European Union regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal data from European Union member countries and Switzerland. NAEMT adheres to the requirements of notice, choice, transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. 

Legal Compliance 
NAEMT cooperates with law enforcement and other third parties to enforce laws. You authorize and recognize NAEMT’s right and intention to disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is or may be illegal or may expose us, service or content providers we work with, or you to possible legal liability. 

What Means of Redress Are Available?
