NAEMT Receives AAA Association Partnership Award
Nov 10, 2011
The American Ambulance Association (AAA) has announced its 2011 award winners, with NAEMT selected as the recipient of the 2011 Association Partnership Award. The Partnership Award is presented to organizations or individuals who have made an outstanding commitment of time and resources in accomplishing a specific objective or project for the AAA.
"NAEMT supports the very core of what the ambulance service is, and that is the employees, the EMTs," said Steve Williamson, AAA president. "Their advocacy, time and talent goes hand-in-hand with the AAA's legislative efforts."
NAEMT has gone above and beyond in assisting the AAA with its advocacy efforts regarding Medicare relief legislation and Public Safety Officers Death Benefits, as well as supporting the annual medic recognition program, Stars of Life, the AAA notes.
Awardees are selected annually by the President of the American Ambulance Association. This year's awards are presented at the Learning Innovation Luncheon at the 2011 AAA Annual Convention and Tradeshow on Tuesday, November 15 in Las Vegas.
