On Tuesday, Sept. 26, NAEMT members from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue stood ready to respond at the 2017 charity basketball game that pits a bipartisan team of members against a team of lobbyists. This annual event raises money for the
Hoops for Youth Foundation, which helps at-risk local children in the D.C. community. The Fairfax County EMS practitioners also provided CPR training for Members of Congress, staff, and attendees. Another team of staffers played lobbyists in a separate game.
Last year’s member game was postponed until November after a Senate staffer collapsed during the staffer-lobbyist game and later died.
A sincere and special thank you to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crew for their participation and excellent work.
