NAEMT is pleased to announce that the first NAEMT TCCC course in Africa was conducted in N'Djamena, the capital city of Chad. The course was conducted by NAEMT TCCC Affiliate Faculty from NAEMT’s Training Centers at the Defense Medical Readiness Training Institute (DMRTI) and the Defense Institute for Medical Operations (DIMO). Congratulations to the six physicians who participated in the first course, and the 24 students who participated in the second course! NAEMT is grateful for the outstanding leadership offered by DMRTI and DIMO to establish TCCC in Chad.
The U.S. Department of Defense’s TCCC course introduces evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield. NAEMT conducts TCCC courses in the United States and 31 other countries as specified by the DoD’s Committee on TCCC.
