Brad Newbury is President and CEO of the National Medical Education & Training Center in West Bridgewater, Mass. Brad has been involved in EMS for over 30 years, beginning as a volunteer firefighter in Tiverton, R.I., the receiving his paramedic certification and working for both a private ambulance and hospital-based, non-transport paramedic service. In 1997, he became a firefighter/paramedic for a fire department and was then promoted through to Captain/Paramedic in 2015. He also served as Safety and Training officer and Shift Commander.
Brad has an extensive teaching background and holds an EMS Instructor Coordinator designation from the Massachusetts Department of Health, as well as Fire Instructor certification. He has taught for the Massachusetts Fire Academy and has lectured nationally on a variety of EMS topics. Brad created the National Medical Education and Training Center in in 2010 and serves as its president and CEO. He was instrumental in managing the application process to full national accreditation of its paramedic program, and developed a hybrid paramedic program that educates and trains students from around the world.
Brad has worked as a faculty educator, content writer, and has been published by a national journal. He is also a principle author and speaker for the NAEMT All Hazards Disaster Response course. Brad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science and a Master Degree in Public Administration.
